My name is Ivan Savu, and I’m a software engineer from Serbia. I’ve been coding for more than 20 years now, and I have always enjoyed building things. I started in high school, with video games, of course, and together with two of my buddies, we built a 3D FPS game. It was built for MS-DOS, and we built everything from scratch - our 3D engine, sound drivers, network code, etc. After that, we got our first jobs at Schneider Electric, where our previous experience with video games helped us optimize their power grid rendering engine. We stayed at Schneider for 18 years, after which we left to found our database startup company.
